Generate UGC-style video

A UGC-style video is a short, authentic-feeling clip where a virtual actor presents your product — the kind of content that performs well on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. Kreator handles the script, voiceover, scenes, and final video for you; you just bring the product and pick a presenter.

This task takes about 5 minutes of input, plus a few minutes of generation time in the background.

What is a UGC-Style Video?

It's an AI-generated short-form video featuring a virtual actor talking about your product — like an influencer testimonial or unboxing clip — built from a few product images and a short description.

Steps

1. Open the UGC-style video builder

In the left sidebar, click Workflows, then click the Create button in the top-right corner and select UGC-Style Video from the dropdown.

The 5-step UGC builder will open. You'll see your progress along the top: Product/Service → Actor → Script → Starting Frames → Video.

2. Add your product or service

On the first step, give Kreator something to talk about:

  • Add up to four product images. Drag and drop, click Upload new file, or pick from Select from asset library or Select from products if you've already added them.
  • Describe the product or service in the text field (optional, but recommended for better scripts). You can paste a URL here too.
  • Pick a target duration — 15, 30, or 60 seconds work best for social.
  • Set the tone and environment (optional), for example "Energetic and excited, modern office."

Click Actor in the bottom-right to continue.

3. Choose an actor

Click Select Actor to open the actor library. Browse the presenters, preview their voice with the play icon, and pick one whose look and tone fits your product.

After selecting, click Script in the bottom-right. Kreator will start generating a script for you — this usually takes less than 30 seconds.

4. Review the script and generate a voiceover

When the script appears, read it through. You can:

  • Edit any part of it directly in the text field — changes save automatically.
  • Click Add Emotions to have Kreator rewrite the script with more expressive delivery.
  • Pick a different voice from the voice selector if you'd like, or use the actor's default voice.

When you're happy with the script, click the sparkle (✨) button next to the voice selector to generate the voiceover. A player will appear once it's ready so you can listen back.

Click Starting Frames in the bottom-right.

5. Generate starting frames

Starting frames are the first image of each scene in your video.

  • Pick an aspect ratio (9:16 for TikTok / Reels is the default).
  • Click Generate All Frames to have Kreator create scene images for you.

You can regenerate any individual frame, swap it for an asset from your library, or upload your own. When you're satisfied, click Video in the bottom-right to kick off the final video generation.

6. Generate the video

Kreator will generate a short video clip for each scene and stitch them together with your voiceover. You'll see each scene's status update in real time.

You can leave this tab and come back — generation continues in the background. You'll find the project later under Workflows (filtered by UGC-Style Video).

How do I know it worked?

You'll know the task is complete when:

  • Every scene on Step 5 shows a green checkmark and a playable video preview.
  • You can press play and watch your finished UGC-style video.
  • You can click the download icon on any clip to save it.

Tips

  • Use clean product photos. Crisp, well-lit images on plain or simple backgrounds produce sharper scenes and better lip-sync.
  • Keep your product description tight. One or two sentences focused on what it does and who it's for usually beat a long copy-paste from your website.
  • Match tone to platform. "Energetic and excited" works well for TikTok-style hooks; "calm and professional" suits LinkedIn or B2B.
  • Start with 9:16 and 30 seconds. This combo is a safe default for most social platforms and gives the AI a script that won't feel rushed or padded.
  • Refine before regenerating. If you edit the script or product info after a step is done, Kreator will need to regenerate later steps — make your changes early to save time.
  • Reuse what you build. Saved actors, voices, and products from Studio (in the sidebar) can be reused across every future UGC video without re-uploading.

Troubleshooting

"Please add at least one product image."

Step 1 needs at least one product image before you can move on. Add a file, an asset from your library, or pick a saved product.

Script generation is taking a long time.

Most scripts generate in under 30 seconds. If it's stuck longer than a minute, refresh the page — your project is saved, and you can re-trigger generation from Step 2 by clicking Script again.

The voiceover button is disabled.

Make sure the script field isn't empty and that you've selected a voice (or chosen an actor whose default voice is loaded). Then click the sparkle button.

A starting frame failed to generate.

Click the failed frame and choose Regenerate, or swap it with an upload or an image from your asset library.

A scene video failed.

On Step 5, you can retry individual scenes. If the same scene keeps failing, go back to Step 4 and replace its starting frame with a clearer image.

I can't find my project later.

Open Workflows in the sidebar and filter by UGC-Style Video. Projects save automatically, even half-finished ones. If you still can't find your project contact support.
