Upload an Image
Images are the building blocks of almost everything you'll create in Kreator — product ads, photoshoots, UGC-style videos, and edits all start from media in your library. The fastest way to bring your own visuals into the app is to upload an image straight from your computer.
This task takes less than 5 minutes.

What is an Asset?
An Asset is any image, video, or audio file stored in your Kreator account. Once uploaded, an image becomes available across every workflow — you can drop it into projects, use it as a reference for AI generations, or feature it in ads without re-uploading it each time.
Steps
1. Open the Assets page
In the left sidebar, click Assets.

You'll see your asset library and an Upload button in the top-right corner.
2. Open the upload window
Click Upload in the top-right corner of the page.

The Upload your media window will open, ready to receive your file.
3. Add your image
You can add an image in any of three ways — pick whichever feels easiest:
- Drag and drop the image file from your computer into the window.
- Click anywhere inside the window (or the Browse Files button) and select an image.
- Paste an image from your clipboard with
Ctrl + V(Windows) or⌘ + V(Mac).

Supported formats are JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, and HEIF, up to 100 MB per file. You can add up to 20 files at once if you'd like to upload more than one.
If you do not have an image ready to upload, you can use one of the images below.

Your image will appear in the file list with a small preview. If you change your mind, click the X next to a file to remove it before uploading.
4. Start the upload
Click the Upload button at the bottom of the window.

A progress indicator will show each file as it uploads. Large files may take a moment — uploads continue in the background if you navigate away.
How do I know it worked?
You'll know the task is complete when:
- The progress reaches 100% and the upload window closes on its own
- Your new image appears as a thumbnail in the Assets grid
Tips
- Start with your best image. Higher-resolution, well-lit photos give you sharper results when you use the image as a reference for AI generations, ads, or video projects.
- Crop before you upload. Trim out backgrounds, watermarks, or unrelated subjects beforehand so the image is ready to drop straight into a workflow.
- Upload several at once. You can drag in up to 20 files in a single go — useful for bringing over a batch of product shots or reference photos in one step.
- Organize as you go. After uploading, open the image from the Assets grid to mark it as a favorite, link it to a product, or assign it to a project so it's easy to find later.
- Reuse the image across workflows. Once uploaded, your image is available everywhere in Kreator — image ads, photoshoots, UGC-style videos, and the video editor — without re-uploading it each time.
Troubleshooting
The Upload button is greyed out.
Your account storage is full. Delete unused assets from the Assets page, or upgrade your plan in billing settings, then try again.
"File type not supported."
Kreator accepts JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, and HEIF images. Convert your file to one of these formats and re-upload.
"File too large."
Each image must be 100 MB or smaller. Compress or resize the image, then try again.
The upload seems stuck.
Check your internet connection and try again. If the issue continues, close the upload window and re-open it — your files will need to be re-added, but the upload will start fresh.
I don't see my image after uploading.
Refresh the Assets page and make sure no filters (asset type, project, source, or product) are hiding it. If it still doesn't show after a minute, contact support.
