Why does the interface change when editing a video?
When users enter the video editor, the platform switches from a navigation-oriented interface to an editing mode. This change is intentional.
In editing mode:
- Standard sidebar navigation is replaced
- The interface prioritizes timeline, preview, and editing tools
- Assets are pulled into the editor rather than created there
This separation helps distinguish between creation, organization, and assembly. Editing is treated as a focused task that temporarily removes non-essential navigation elements to reduce distraction and improve control.
